The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) released its Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Artificial Intelligence at the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
About the guidance
The guidance gives enterprises a clear framework for managing risks when they develop or use AI. It supports enterprises that operate in different countries by aligning with different national laws and policies. It is the most comprehensive AI risk management guidance available.
Online tool launching mid‑2026
The OECD is developing an online tool to help enterprises understand AI risk and compare national frameworks with the guidance. The OECD will update the tool through consultation and using research as it becomes available. The tool will launch during the 50th anniversary week of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct (29 June to 3 July 2026).
