This is a 5‑day training program for Indonesian non‑governmental organisations and human rights and environmental defenders in Jakarta, Indonesia. It will help participants learn more about:

The program will support Indonesian civil society and government efforts to:

  • include human rights in Indonesia’s OECD accession process
  • set up a non‑judicial grievance system called the National Contact Point

Program objectives

  • Learn about the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and human rights due diligence
  • Learn about the OECD Guidelines, National Contact Points and good international practices
  • Join practical discussions with Indonesian NGOs, government and businesses
  • Understand how business can affect women and people with disabilities

Presenters

AusNCP Board member, Serena Lilywhite will be a primary trainer at this event. Bryce Williamson, from the AusNCP Secretariat, and AusNCP Independent Examiner, Shiv Martin, will also present virtually.
