AusNCP transfers complaint to the Chilean National Contact Point

On 19 March 2026, the Australian National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct (AusNCP) published a statement confirming it has transferred a complaint to the Chilean National Contact Point.

The complaint concerns the actions of a Chilean subsidiary of an Australian-based multinational enterprise operating in the mining and quarrying sector.

An AusNCP Independent Examiner transferred the complaint after a Coordination process concluded that the Chilean National Contact Point was best positioned to lead its handling. You can read the Independent Examiner’s full statement at AusNCP Complaint 40.

The Chilean National Contact Point will now commence an Initial Assessment of the complaint.

The AusNCP’s decision to transfer the complaint does not represent an assessment of whether the actions of the enterprise or its subsidiary are consistent with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct.
